The Toy Store Story
The Toy Store is "Florida's Largest Volume Corvette Dealer" and is proudly celebrating 60 years in business. Jim Crist, founder of the Toy Store, has long been considered a pioneer in the field of pre-owned Corvettes. His knowledge, involvement, and support of the Corvette community have been extensive.
The Toy Store has always considered every Corvette transaction an investment. No other production model can boast the value retention the Corvette has carried over the last sixty years. From our home in Largo, Florida, we attract buyers and collectors from around the world and provide specialized bank financing of up to 84 months on any vehicle in our inventory.
Our staff are experts, assisting customers seven days a week in person or by phone. The secret to our success has always been service beyond the sale — a private service center open only to Toy Store clients, with priority service, deeply discounted parts, and real-time labor at half the rate of new-car dealerships.

Racing has always been the passion of TEAM Toy Store, bringing the dealership national exposure throughout Jim's professional career. He has earned championships at multiple levels — primarily in Corvettes.

The Doors Open
Jim Crist founds the Toy Store, pioneering a market for quality pre-owned Corvettes long before it was fashionable.

Return to Racing
TEAM Toy Store debuts the first "Grand Sport" Corvette to race since 1967 at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix — Jim driving his #19 Trans Am Corvette.

The C5R Era
As the C5 arrives, the team builds a brand-new car for the Trans Am Series, sponsored by Eckler's — helping bring Corvettes back to professional racing.
